Benefits of Maintaining a Building Energy Management System

Properly maintained and managed Building Energy Management Systems have the following advantages for the end users in:

  • Reducing operating costs thereby saving money.

  • Reducing energy consumption and CO2 emissions.

  • Minimising plant downtime by effective alarm monitoring which improves efficiency.

  • Extending plant life using anticipation of plant failure.

DDC is able to offer a complete range of services for Planned Preventative Maintenance contracts tailored to meet your needs for all conventional controls and Building Energy Management Systems.

Included within our PPM visit will be software integrity checks and software back-up together with operational checks to the main plant controls. All field devices associated with the controllers shall be checked for correct operation and calibration.

Visits will be scheduled in line with the client's instruction where an experienced engineer will visit site. The engineer will methodically service the equipment listed on the schedule and collate a report which will be issued on the completion of each maintenance visit. The report will detail equipment serviced, its present state and any recommendations to improve performance. The report will also include information on any equipment failures and faults found.
